Mashiko Pottery Teaware Competition 2015!

Be a judge and evaluate 28 beautiful designed teawares created by young pottery artists in Mashiko! Mashiko is a city in Tochigi prefecture famous for Mashiko-yaki (pottery).

Now Mashiko and Sayama (the city famous for Sayamacha – Japanese green tea in Sayama area in Saitama prefecture) have a competition of new teawares for oversea markets to enjoy Sayamacha. By the due date (Jan 31), 28 of traditional and innovative teawares have been submitted. You can take a look and touch the teawares, then give your evaluation – the ranking will be decided based on the evaluation by YOU!

After the evaluation, we’ll have a tea party –

【Schedule】

  1:30-2:30pm Teaware (Japanese Kyusu "急須"）evaluation

  2:30-3:30pm Tea party
